The Barnsley Town Concert Band have been entertaining the people of South Yorkshire for a number of years, they have undertaken overseas concerts to places like France where they played at the famous Euro Disney.  

The band comprises of young children, teenagers and adults and have all got one thing in common, the love of music!

The band have a fantastic musical director, Mr Robert Horscroft, who has brought the band on leaps and bounds over the last few years.  They also have a dedicated committee which look after the bands paper work and sorting out the concerts that the bands do, they also organise social events for the band to participate in.  

The Barnsley Town Concert Band also work closely with there brass colleagues who form the Barnsley Metropolitan Band who also perform across the county and also in Barnsley's twin town of  Schwabisch Gmund.  Please follow the link if you would like more information about the Barnsley Metropolitan Band - www.barnsleymetband.co.uk   

The band have also been asked to take part in the annual Celebration of Achievement which is due to take place at the Metrodome in October.  They are having a piece of music specially composed which will also feature a joint choir comprising of school children from around the borough.
